    Power and Love Conference

Kendall and I went to a Power and Love Conference in Boise, Idaho this past week/weekend.  We got back Saturday night and I had to sit down and write some of my biggest takeaways from the conference, because it was amazing! This conference was unique because we had sessions where we heard from speakers but we also had sessions where we were called to live out what we were learning. I am a visual learner so I learn best through the application process. I enjoyed listening to the speakers but I really liked going out and praying, loving and giving to others. If you have never heard of the  Power…

    You brought me Joy!

Over the weekend Kendall and I had the opportunity to take engagement photos for Joy and Terry! The first time I met them, was the day of the shoot and I have to say, after a few minutes of talking with them/taking pictures for them, I felt like I had known them for years! They were so fun and their smiles were contagious. Our first location for photos was a farmer’s market. I just love all things fall and it was so fun to get a few pictures of them with apples, pumpkins and corn stalks. I also have to note that we got extremely lucky because the weather was…

    Roller Coasters, Canyons & Caves

Every year when fall comes around I get excited for the leaves to change colors. I have always loved fall for the beauty it has to offer and every year I enjoy it for the short time that it lasts.  This year when September hit, I really wanted to go to Logan Canyon to see the fall leaves.  For those of you who have never been to Logan Canyon, it is in Utah and during the fall, the colors on the trees are unreal! I am constantly looking at pictures that other photographers have taken and I love how colorful the trees get. After talking Kendall into a short weekend…

Soon to be six! A Family & Maternity Session.

Kendall and I shot a unique and very fun session over the weekend.  This session was unique because we captured family, maternity and the gender reveal all in one! This was are first time doing all three but it was an absolute blast! We couldn’t have asked for a better family to capture, they were both creative and funny.  So without further explanation let’s get into the pictures! Amanda (the mom) ended up buying smoke bombs for the reveal. I thought it was such a fun idea and I couldn’t wait to capture the kids reactions.  It’s a girl!!!  I think the name  that they picked out for their little…

    Homemade Pizza!

It’s pizza night here at the Lindley’s and we take it pretty seriously! 😉 Pizza and Friday nights go so well together and we take every opportunity we can get to make some homemade pizza. There are a couple of reasons why I love making pizza at home: It is in incredibly simple You can get as creative as you want with toppings! I tend to like putting a ton of sauce, chicken and veggies on top and Kendall likes a lot of cheese, meat and veggies, so it’s a win-win for both of us! I took some pictures of us making our pizza so you could see how simple…

    Camping, Hot Dogs & Hikes

Kendall and I just got back yesterday from our four day camping trip! This was our first time going camping together since we have been married. While we were dating, we went on a few camping trips with his parents,  but we’ve made it a goal to go camping at least once together after we got married. I hope we end up going at least once every summer though because camping both brings back and creates so many great memories! I grew up going camping with my family and loved every minute of it.  Some of my favorite memories came from camping with my family.  I remember sleeping all bundled…

    Smoothie Goodness!

If you have known me for any amount of time, you probably know that smoothies are my jam! Don’t You Dare Compare!

Comparison has been on my heart a lot lately and I think it’s something that so many of us struggle with, especially in a media driven society.  I want to remind you that social media is only a small part of the whole picture and what you see is generally a collection of  the highlights.  I am not against social media, because I think it can be used for good and to help spread love and encouragement. But I do think that it’s important to be cautious  with the time we spend on it and how we use it. You and I both have the opportunity to use social media…
