    A Look Inside Our Home

I sat down to write this today because it has been a little over one year since Kendall and I bought our first house. What’s funny is, Kendall and I had no intentions to buy a house.  In fact, when we bought our home we only had a couple hundred in savings, which  many of you probably know isn’t “ideal” for purchasing a home.  But it was yet another example of how God works.  I couldn’t have made  it work, but God did.  He gave us a command and Kendall and I stepped out in faith. He blessed us and I can’t wait to keep using our home as a…

My Favorite Protein Powder+A Green Smoothie

A few years ago, I was on the hunt for a protein powder that worked well with my body. I ended up trying several different kinds but couldn’t find one that didn’t make me sick or give me a migraine. But finally, I discovered Tone It Up Protein Powder and I’ve never looked back. πŸ˜‰ I love this protein powder because it’s plant based and contains no whey! It’s easy on my stomach and it has never made me sick. I have been using it for three years now and it is hands down my favorite protein powder. 5 Tips For Eating Healthy While On A Budget

I am a huge proponent when it comes to eating healthy! I enjoy feeding my body what it needs and I love feeling good from the inside out.  I haven’t always been aware of what I was putting in my body though.  In fact, it took my body completely shutting down, before I started making some much needed changes. Over the past couple of years, I have been more aware of what I’m putting in my body.  I am not obsessive by any means, but I do like to nourish my body to the best of my ability. With healthy eating comes a higher cost though, or does it? I…

    My Favorite Weeknight Tacos

Kendall and I usually have tacos at least once a week. Sometimes twice and occasionally three times! No shame here. πŸ˜‰ haha. We eat tacos a lot and I have tried many different combinations but I have found, the simpler, the better! I can’t eat dairy, but Kendall can and I don’t think he even added any cheese or sour cream to these tacos because the flavors already work so well together. Although, if you want to add sour cream and cheese, go for it! We like to put cabbage, tomatoes, avocado, red onion, cilantro and a squeeze of lime on ours. I love these corn tortillas for this recipe.…

Rest Is Key. A Review On My Word For 2018 + My New Word For 2019

For the past couple of years, I have chosen to focus on one to two words to for the year. I used to write down yearly goals, but I decided that focusing on daily goals and a word worked better for me. My word for 2018 was rest. For the longest time I struggled with resting or even the idea of rest. I enjoy moving and creating, but I realized my constant need to go and do was leading to burnout. I would say yes to everything that came my way, which left my schedule jam packed and with very little time for rest. I would end up getting sick…
