If you have known me for any amount of time, you probably know that smoothies are my jam! It’s something I look forward to having every morning. Over the course of the past three years, I have experimented with many different flavors and combinations and I fully plan on sharing a lot of my recipes on here, so stay tuned! 🙂 Below is the recipe for this delicious blackberry, cacao smoothie:
- 1 frozen banana (the frozen banana makes the smoothie creamier)
- 1/2 cup frozen blackberries
- 1 Tbsp cacao nibs
- 1 Tbsp Chia Seeds
- 1/4 Cup Plain Yogurt (Here is the kind I like and use)
- 1 cup of almond milk
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional)
Put all ingredients into a blender and blend on high speed until smooth, top with cacao nibs and enjoy!
A few additional notes: I put cacao nibs both in and on top of the smoothie.
